Windows Mobile delete multiple contacts

Windows Mobile by default does not have the ability to delete or work with multiple contacts. I was trying to delete all my contacts on a HTC Touch to have it synced with my computer but found that there was no such options.

PPCContactsMgr is a utility for windows mobile phones that allows additional fucntionality when managing contacts. It allows selection and deletion of multiple contacts. It also allows you to add phone number directly from the call history menu.

Another useful feature is its ability to beam multiple contacts. If you want a fresh start of contacts on the phone use PPCContactsMgr to organize it.

Many people buy phones to listen to the radio. There were some shortcoming in the radio software provided on some HTC phones. This windows mobile phone software has many improvements that can bring many additional features to the radio feature.

Radio stations send out data as RDS (Radio Data System) which is invisible to the user unless the device supports viewing it. It could include the title of the song, traffic updates, artist name, etc.

This windows mobile application is completely skinnable to suit your mood as well. It can also support custom radio station icons.

Gsen – Auto rotate between landscape and portrait mode

Gsen is a freeware application that can auto- rotate the phones screen between portrait and landscape modes. This app can also put the phone in standby mode when it is left lying flat on a surface. The app also allows you to exclude this programs Gsen should not work in, since not all programs support landscape mode.

This program is compatible for new Windows Mobile phones like HTC Touch Diamond, O2 Xda Diamond, T-Mobile MDA Compact IV, HTC Touch HD and HTC Touch Pro devices.

Sync Facebook with Windows Mobile Contacts

Havent you always wished there was an easy way to get photos for all your contacts. Now you can import contact photos from Facebook !

BookSync is an application for Windows Mobile phones that allows you to synchronize the pictures of the contacts in your phone with profile pictures of your friends on Facebook.

Run the application and connect to your facebook account. You will the be given a list of phone contact and Facebook friends. Choose a contact’s name and click the corresponding name in your Facebook friends list. This will sync the photo from Facebook to your phones contact info.

Very nice app if you use Facebook a lot.

HTC Touch Keyboard & Touch Keypad Download

The initial HTC phones had one big drawback, that was the ability to enter text without using a stylus. Later there was a paid software called TouchPal that made it easier to enter text using your fingers. Now HTC has finally come up with the new Keypad and Keyboard that will help to enter text easily.

For those of you who do not have the latest ROM, you can add these keyboard by installing this cab file. It features an inbuilt x19 dictionary. The buttons are quite large making it easy to press them with your fingers.

The keyboard feels like the ones found in Sony Ericsson and Nokia phones. Though I did find one feature quite irritating. The fact that the dictionary works even when choosing the name of a contact while sending an sms is quite frustrating. You will have to press the To field and choose contact from the menu.

HTC Action Screen

This file is for use with the HTC Touch only.

It gives you the a new menu from which you can launch most popular tasks for the phone.

You can find the action screen button on the bottom left corner of the home screen. Clicking this button will bring up the screen shown in the image from where you can launch most tasks.

A very useful plugin that can save a lot of time when used correctly. Give it a try.
